Day 1: Luke 8:40-56

Healing the Woman and Raising Jairus' Daughter

In this chapter, Jesus demonstrates His healing power by touching and restoring a woman suffering from a twelve-year-long hemorrhage. As He continues to Jairus' house, He raises Jairus' daughter from death. This passage highlights Jesus' compassion, authority over sickness, and the importance of faith in receiving healing.

Jesus Heals a Woman and Jairus’s Daughter

40Now when Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him. 41And there came a man named Jairus, who was a ruler of the synagogue. And falling at Jesus’ feet, he implored him to come to his house, 42for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying.
As Jesus went, the people pressed around him. 43And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all her living on physicians, she could not be healed by anyone. 44She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, and immediately her discharge of blood ceased. 45And Jesus said, “Who was it that touched me?” When all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the crowds surround you and are pressing in on you!” 46But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I perceive that power has gone out from me.” 47And when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared in the presence of all the people why she had touched him, and how she had been immediately healed. 48And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.”
49While he was still speaking, someone from the ruler’s house came and said, “Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the Teacher any more.” 50But Jesus on hearing this answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.” 51And when he came to the house, he allowed no one to enter with him, except Peter and John and James, and the father and mother of the child. 52And all were weeping and mourning for her, but he said, “Do not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping.” 53And they laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54But taking her by the hand he called, saying, “Child, arise.” 55And her spirit returned, and she got up at once. And he directed that something should be given her to eat. 56And her parents were amazed, but he charged them to tell no one what had happened.
Luke 8:50b - "Don't be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed."
Gracious Lord, You are the great Healer, full of compassion and love. I come before You today, seeking healing in all areas of my life. Help me to trust in Your power and never lose faith, even in the face of challenges. Touch my body, mind, and spirit, bringing restoration and wholeness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Day 2: Psalm 103:1-5

Bless the Lord, O My Soul

Psalm 103 is a beautiful hymn of praise, exalting God's character and goodness. It reminds us that He forgives our sins, heals our diseases, redeems our lives from destruction, and crowns us with love and compassion. This chapter calls us to remember all of God's benefits and blessings.

Bless the Lord, O My Soul

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,

3who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,

4who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

5who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Psalm 103:2-3 - "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases."
Heavenly Father, I lift my voice in praise and thanksgiving. You are the ultimate source of healing, and I am grateful for Your forgiveness, mercy, and loving-kindness. I surrender my brokenness to You and ask for Your healing touch in my life. May Your compassion and grace bring me to a place of restoration and peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Day 3: James 5:13-16

This chapter instructs believers to pray and sing praises to God in times of joy and trouble. It also encourages the sick to call upon the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will bring healing and restoration.

The Prayer of Faith

13Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. 14Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
James 5:16b - "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."
Dear Lord, Your Word teaches us the power of prayer and the significance of community. I pray for the strength to share my burdens with fellow believers, that we may lift each other up in prayer and find healing and comfort in Your presence. May the prayer of faith bring restoration and hope to those who are sick and suffering. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Day 4: Exodus 15:22-27

In this chapter, the Israelites reach a bitter water source called Marah, which they cannot drink. God instructs Moses to throw a tree into the water, making it sweet and drinkable. This act of God's provision illustrates His ability to turn our trials into blessings.

Bitter Water Made Sweet

22Then Moses made Israel set out from the Red Sea, and they went into the wilderness of Shur. They went three days in the wilderness and found no water. 23When they came to Marah, they could not drink the water of Marah because it was bitter; therefore it was named Marah. 24And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” 25And he cried to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a log, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet.
There the Lord made for them a statute and a rule, and there he tested them, 26saying, “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.”
27Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they encamped there by the water.
Exodus 15:26b - "...for I am the Lord who heals you."
Gracious God, just as You turned the bitter waters of Marah into sweetness, I ask You to transform the difficult circumstances in my life. Heal the wounds that cause bitterness in my heart, and grant me the faith to trust in Your divine plan. I believe that You are the God who heals and restores. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Day 5: Mark 5:24-34

Healing the Woman with the Issue of Blood

In this chapter, a woman with a chronic flow of blood reaches out to touch the hem of Jesus' garment. Instantly, she is healed, and Jesus acknowledges her faith. This powerful encounter emphasizes the importance of persistent faith and Jesus' willingness to heal those who seek Him.

Jesus Heals a Woman and Jairus’s Daughter

24And he went with him.
And a great crowd followed him and thronged about him. 25And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, 26and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. 27She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. 28For she said, “If I touch even his garments, I will be made well.” 29And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. 30And Jesus, perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, immediately turned about in the crowd and said, “Who touched my garments?” 31And his disciples said to him, “You see the crowd pressing around you, and yet you say, ‘Who touched me?’” 32And he looked around to see who had done it. 33But the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before him and told him the whole truth. 34And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”
Mark 5:34 - "He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'"
Merciful Savior, like the woman with the issue of blood, I reach out to You in faith, knowing that Your touch brings healing and freedom. I surrender my afflictions to You and ask for Your healing grace to flow through every part of my life. Grant me the strength to persevere in faith, trusting that You are always near. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Day 6: Jeremiah 17:14

Healing through God's Word

This verse from Jeremiah's prophecy speaks of turning back to God for healing. It emphasizes the significance of God's Word as a source of comfort, hope, and restoration.
14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved,
for you are my praise.
Jeremiah 17:14 - "Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are my praise."
Heavenly Father, Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I pray for healing through the transformative power of Your Word. Renew my mind and spirit as I immerse myself in Your truth. Heal the wounds of my past and guide me toward a future filled with hope and purpose. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Day 7: Revelation 21:1-4
